I’m making sloe gin for the first time. I read on the internet that you’re supposed to freeze them before you put them in the alcohol to soften them. Then, when they were in the freezer I read that you have to be careful when you take them out because water droplets condense on them as they hit room temperature, and water in your gin mix will send it bad. So I tried to defrost them in a cool oven and then dried them off individually with a kitchen towel and wasted half the morning. I should just read less on the internet.
